Crick Waters, co-founder, SVP Strategy and Business Development for Ribbit, believes this vision will lead to a new generation of hybrid communication tools and high value applications, and deliver on the premise that voice has value.
Ribbit, which promotes itself as "Silicon Valley's First Phone Company", was purchased by BT (BT Group plc formerly British Telecommunications) on July 29, 2008, to continue BT's move toward becoming a software driven services company.
Crick Waters is Co-founder, SVP Strategy and Business Development, for Ribbit. Prior to starting Ribbit, He led development and delivery of consumer voice and data services including fiber to the home, VoIP, DSL, Wi-Fi, and voice over DSL services for AT&T Consumer Services. Crick has also worked as Director of Value Added Services at NorthPoint Communications, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Applied Process Technology; held leadership positions at three separate divisions of InternationalPaper in technology management, process and product development, and business management; and spent seven years developing the U.S.Navy¹s nuclear reactor instrumentation and control technology for the fastattack submarine, U.S.S. Seawolf. He has served on the Boards of Directors of the DSL Forum and International Packet Communications Consortium. He holds B.S.E.E and M.B.A degrees from Duke University, and a M.S. in Nuclear Engineering.
